Chioma Okafor received her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Lagos before joining the Institute in 2012 as a Research Fellow. Her work focused on visual attention and neural correlates of perceptual decision-making, contributing several key papers on attentional mechanisms in aging populations. She left the Institute in 2019 to establish the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at the University of Cape Town, where she currently directs a thriving research program.
