Lucia Moreno earned her doctorate from the University of Barcelona and joined the Institute in 2014 to investigate the cognitive advantages of bilingualism in early childhood development. Her longitudinal studies on language acquisition and executive function enriched the Institute's understanding of how multilingualism shapes developing minds. She left in 2021 to take up a faculty position at UNIVERSITAT AUTÒNOMA DE BARCELONA, where she now leads a research group on multilingual cognition.
